Death and the people

It's been a month now since the sad demise of Nana ji. Although, I wanted to write a lot here, in fact more than usual, but no, I won't. I don't think people would really get the essence of what has been written.

Different people react differently to any death and I respect that as everyone has their own level of perception. But, one thing is for sure is that if you have been nice to your family and society, people definitely mourn your death for a long time and vice versa. If you inculcate good values to your kids, so would be your old age. If not, people say that his/her Karma made him suffer more. But again, it is not that straightforward calculation of Karma. Sometimes, inspite of doing all the good but still nothing works out well seemingly. Other times, you are cunning as hell and yet things have been super good for you almost everytime. But one thing is for sure, in the end, the way you treat people, you will definitely get that back in your kids or grandchildren. If you have never paid attention to the way you were raising your children, then definitely your grandchildren would be treating others the same way. Many of my relatives know that I am silent most of the time in any of the functions, be it marriage or death. You know why, because I observe society and it's people always. And, also if you are not close enough to my vibes, I try to ignore, I don't sugarcoat to anyone just to make them happy. I am a super talkative person with my Mother, my family and 2-3 close friends. But, at the same time, I am not someone who is perfect either, or doesn't have any bad habits or attitude but yes, I never demean anyone for no reason unless the threshold of tolerating someone crosses my mind or heart. I have learnt some tough things about people, people giving too much importance to your money or your work status, how you are treating someone when they are alive and how you portray yourselves after someone's death. It's all a mess nowadays. Relationship have became so fragile and ego have cemented itself in the minds of the people. May be, I will keep layering up all these things until I find a creative outlet to put them in words or whatever form!
