Same word, different meaning

Same word but different meaning/ perception for different people.

Few weeks back, I met one of my senior whom I used to respect a lot. But after that meeting, the respect for him seems to be fading away. The reason being that he used some words which he shouldn't have used as a senior.

For most of us the word "ASSUME" means thinking of all possibilities, but for some it means "@$$ of you & me". I was quite surprised to listen such word from that senior.

True how you perceive a word reflects your personality and the thought process. So play good with the words that you use otherwise you never know when it might bounce back and hurt you.

One of the things that I have learnt in my recent career is that:

"Respect is always earned  through your words and deeds, it doesn't come free either with your DNA or your seniority."
